Domain Zero

Domain Zero is CDA's introductory course series designed specifically for career changers. Six courses, one per PDM domain, all free.

Why "Domain Zero"? Because everyone starts at zero. Whether you are a teacher, a mechanic, a nurse, or a veteran, cybersecurity skills can be learned. CDA was founded by someone who went from maintaining hydraulic systems on aircraft to building a cybersecurity company. Career changers welcome. We were one.

The six Domain Zero courses: 1. DPS Domain Zero: What is data? Why does it need protection? How do everyday concepts like passwords and encryption actually work? 2. VSD Domain Zero: What is an attack surface? How do hackers find weaknesses? What can you do about it? 3. SPH Domain Zero: What is security hygiene? Why do updates matter? How to spot a misconfigured system. 4. IAT Domain Zero: What is identity? How does authentication work? Why zero trust matters. 5. TID Domain Zero: What is a cyber threat? How do you read a threat report? What is the difference between a virus and a vulnerability? 6. RGA Domain Zero: What is risk? How do compliance frameworks work? Why governance matters.

Each Domain Zero course is: - Free, forever - Self-paced (approximately 4-6 hours) - Requires no prior technical knowledge - Includes hands-on labs with guided walkthroughs - Awards a completion badge (not a certification)

After Domain Zero, you can pursue M0 Sentry certification in any domain. M0 Sentry focuses on using AI tools for that domain's tasks.
